Objective: This study was aimed to evaluate the effect of ethanol extract of Peperomia pelucida (L.) HBK herbal to blood glucose and C-reactive Protein (CRP) levels in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats.
Methods: Diabetes was induced by a single intraperitoneal (i.p) injection of streptozotocin (65 mg/kg body weight) freshly dissolved in 0.02 M citrate saline buffer. Only rats with blood glucose levels ≥200 mg/dL were included. Animals were sacrificed after 2 weeks of diabetes.
